A decadent journal in collaboration with the watercolor artist Tori-Leigh. Featuring hand sewn pages, a jacquard fabric spine, and a watercolor hellebore flower print on acid-free vellum textured card.
Hellebore derives from the Greek elein ("to injure") and bora ("food"), as a warning of it's poisonous nature. In the Victorian Era, hellebores were used as an ingredient in a famous "Flying Ointment" which had hallucinogenic properties and was said to have been used by witches. They symbolized scandal, slander, and anxiety in the Victorian Language of Flowers, but more often represent serenity, tranquility, and peace in today's time.
